  • Social Media Environmental Activists to Follow

    • @GreenGirlLeah on instagram

    • @ReLeaf4Us on instagram

    • Shelbizleee on Youtube

      • I especially enjoy the videos where she ranks brands on a tier list based on sustainability

    • ImperfectIdealist on Youtube

      • She has a video essay for practically everything, and many interesting thoughts about Greenwashing

  • Environmental Activists Groups to Follow Online for More Information

  • Books About Sustainability

  • Super Cool Initiatives for Sustainability in Fashion

    • ThredUp

      • ThredUp is an online thrift store that also offers a “Goody Box” option where they send you a box of clothing that fits the style you specify on the website, and then anything you want to return you are able to and it goes back to their collection of thrifted items and others can wear them.

      • The ThredUp website also has a great quiz to calculate the environmental impact of your wardrobe: here.

    • TenTree

      • TenTree is a sustainable clothing brand that plants trees for every item sold

    • GoodOnYou

      • I often discuss GoodOnYou on this site because it is a very helpful resource to easily check the sustainability of brands, and they have tons of other information on their website.

    • Kent State Clothing Recycling

      • Kent State is a great example of a college that is very mindful of the environmental impacts of clothing waste, especially because of their impressive fashion department. They have a Throw N’ Go program to collect used clothing and other goods, as well as places for fashion students to place extra fabric for recycling.
